the image gen model is kinda rough, compared to what's out there. I think hooking it into a backend toolcall with GLM 4.7 would be the best application, like with the convenience of built-in web search, otherwise there's not much incentive to use it. That said, I am absolutely rooting for a Z.ai image model, I just want to respect the process by being honest. I believe in this family of models and the accessibility of the price point for something with quality comparable to anthropic models, and recommend the coding plan to everyone I know.

Yeah actually kilo got a lot of problems with zai then use cc can make it work without context size PB and less errors on tool usage from my experience but I prefer cc directly because their override tools and their are really not optimized for glm

yup, having a switch 'allow overages over the coding plan' in the user's panel which when set to true would give a warning similar to what CC does (not sure if possible) or would just stop the model with error message would be highly appreciated. It's is just an URL with an compatible API, so the requests that the program you use (Claude, Kilo, Cursor, etc) can comunicate with the LLM you use in Z.ai (GLM-5, GLM-4-7, ....). There are not real Anthropic models in Z.ai

Kilo is a generic tool create for use any providers who don't subscription plan then it display cost as like u don't have any specific subscription

I can't remember if Claude Code has it, but in Droid, you can specify the model used for its sub-droids (like a Claude Code agent) so I define the model used there to be GLM to force it to use it for the droid's work. I then use Sonnet to actually do the planning, do the designing, and then separate out all of the design into the subtasks. Once it's in a set of small tasks with a relatively low complexity, I ask it to launch droids with strict instructions of one change to one file. Running it this way I'm able to keep a good control over GLM and keep its context quite narrow and keep all my $$ spend on Sonnet just as a the planner.
